Academic Enrichment Fair
The Academic Enrichment Fair is an exciting opportunity for students who enjoy delving into a topic of interest to them. Teaching students the skills to participate in research and present their findings has always been a part of the Academic Enrichment Program, though the format has changed over the years.
Students selected for this part of the program may or may not have been involved in the math portion of the program. They will meet with the Academic Enrichment teacher several times early in the second semester to select a topic and find materials. They will then be expected to spend some time at home simply reading and thinking about their topic. Later in the semester, once they are sure they have chosen an topic that they are interested in, they will meet daily to learn to take notes and find more information. They will have some time to take notes at school, but will also be expected to work on notes at home. Then we will use the notes to create a slide show at school and they will be required to create a poster, or similar product at home. During this time Academic Enrichment math groups will not meet. Final projects will be presented at each student's own school and will be on display during the Academic Enrichment Fair on May 12 at Lincoln School.
